Eximia Belle is pleased to announce that Dr Lynette Sauermann has joined its team of aesthetic experts.
Sauermann has over 27 years of medical practice, some of her most notable accomplishments include establishing a centre for diabetes and endocrinology; working in travel medicine; assisting in oncology clinical studies; aviation medicine, and managing her private practice where she also conducted examinations and evaluations for the Road Accident Fund.
Having garnered experience in aesthetic medicine while working for a plastic surgery clinic, Sauermann decided to extend her medicinal services to include both clinical and dermatological offerings.
For this experienced doctor, aesthetic medicine provides the right balance between surgery and assisting patients to not only feel physically great but to look it as well. Having patients come back after receiving fillers and Botulinum Toxin to express how much their lives have changed for the better, inspires and propels her to work even harder.
This sense of fulfilment, drive and need to uplift the lives of patients is what makes the journey with Eximia Belle even more exciting says Sauermann. This new chapter brings with it opportunities of expanding even further in the field of dermatology and to solidify a distinguished career in medicine.
Inspired by Eximia Belle’s founder, Joha-Nel Van Zyl’s enthusiasm to make the company a success by disrupting the status quo of aesthetic clinics, Sauermann says she is looking forward to the new possibilities of changing the lives of their patients with noninvasive procedures.
She is no stranger at innovation either. Before establishing her private practice, Sauermann and her business partner founded one of the first medical walk-in rooms in her hometown of Pretoria, to better assist the community with their medicinal needs.
In 2017 during the height of her career, Sauermann's, despite the pulls of work and home, also enrolled in a Diabetes Postgraduate Diploma which she completed in record time. This has assisted her with the ongoing research she conducts on the subject matter.
When Sauermann is not conducting research or treating patients, she is managing her family which consists of a husband who is also a doctor and their daughters.
With such a fulfilling career, Sauermann says striking a balance between work and raising three children, while maintaining a home as a wife, has been one of her greatest challenges. Considering her vast accolades and that her eldest daughter is following in her parents’ footsteps to also become a physician, Sauermann's efforts have clearly paid off.
Her hobbies include sewing; interior designing; entertaining and cooking. As a sports fanatic, she is engrossed by cricket; athletics; Olympics; tennis and golf, where she religiously participates in the last two.
